Access Control System Maintenance
>>> ... You're recommending monthly maintenance ... you said that the regular maintenance period is from 6 months ...
Regular Maintenance (Every 6 Months): If no service or adjustment requests are received throughout the month, the system is stable, and we can proceed with scheduled Regular Maintenance every six months. This routine maintenance involves checking the system to ensure it continues to function as expected, without any urgent concerns or issues raised during the prior months.
Control Maintenance (End of Month - When Service Calls are Received): If service calls or adjustment requests are made during the month, a Control Maintenance must be performed at the end of the month. This is a more thorough and immediate process, which includes:
- Verification of Corrective Actions: Ensuring that any issues reported earlier were properly resolved and that no repeat problems exist.
- System Improvement: Assessing the current system to identify ways to improve monitoring and diagnostics, so similar issues can be prevented or detected more efficiently in the future.
In short, Regular Maintenance is for routine checks in stable months, while Control Maintenance is a detailed review required after any service interventions.
>>> ... adjustments of the door sensors ... how the adjustment has happened?
Over time, all types of sensors gradually lose sensitivity due to various factors such as wear and tear, loose mounting, or environmental vibrations (common in places like elevators, engines, or moving parts). This degradation may not always be immediately noticeable, but it can impact the sensor’s performance.
During the Maintenance, we inspect and adjust sensors to correct any loss in sensitivity, ensuring they function optimally. However, if sensor degradation begins to affect normal operations before the scheduled maintenance, a service call is required. During this service, we:
- Adjust the sensor to restore proper sensitivity or,
- Replace the sensor if it has deteriorated beyond repair.
Regular adjustments are essential to maintain system reliability and avoid disruptions caused by sensor malfunction.
